rent for your special event. The Club can accommodate wedding ceremonies
and receptions, luncheons, dinners, and cocktail parties. Please see
below for more detailed information.
If you would like to set up an appointment to see the Club, please email or call our Manager, at (202) 332-1268. (Members of the Congressional Club should call the Manager for information on member rates.) Sponsorship: The Congressional Club is a private social club. In order to rent the facility, you must be sponsored by a member. Club members are spouses of former and current members of Congress (including Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, and non-voting delegates), Cabinet members, or Supreme Court Justices. A member who sponsors a guest for the use of the Club must sign the Rental Contract as sponsor.

Learn more about room capacity. Wedding Ceremonies: The Congressional Club can accommodate wedding ceremonies in the Ballroom. There is a $100 charge for wedding rehearsals. Reservation Deposit: A $750 breakage/security deposit is required to confirm a reservation date. The reservation deposit is fully refundable following the event less damage or overtime charges. The refund will be mailed within thirty (30) days of the event date. Club Rental: The Congressional Club rental fee is for the use of the Congressional Club space and includes tables and chairs. The fee will be stipulated at time of rental commitment.
Catering: The Congressional Club's preferred caterers are 3Citron Caterers and Putting on the Ritz.
Use of any other catering service
must be approved by the manager. Beverages: The client must provide all beverages to be served (alcohol, mixers, soda and ice). Beverages may be purchased through ACE Beverage (202) 966-4444, which will deliver to the Club and accept the return of unopened bottles, refunding the charge for them. Doorman: A doorman is recommended for events over 75 persons.
The Congressional Club owns an antique Steinway grand piano, which is available for use at events. If used, the client must pay a $175.00 tuning fee so that we may tune the piano before your event.
All events held at the Congressional Club must end by 11 PM. The Club is a non-smoking facility. The Club maintains a noise restriction policy. At the Event Coordinator's discretion, an event may be ended if it becomes too loud and/or uncivil. The Club Event Coordinator must approve the use of candles. Red wine is not permitted on the first floor of the Club. The Congressional Club maintains a policy of no food or beverages in the Inaugural Ball Gown Room and/or in The Congressional Club Lobby. Valet Parking: The Congressional Club does not have a private parking facility nor is there a public parking facility within the immediate area. For all events exceeding 50 persons, Valet Parking Services must be used unless the client prearranges a shuttle service. The Club uses and recommends MarcParc Valet (contact: Michael Jasser, 202-223-2830) and Atlantic Valet (Contact: Alain Ikombo, 202-466-5050). Please call them for an estimate. Accessibility: Please be aware that the Club is not disabled accessible, and does not have an elevator, in order to retain the Club's historical integrity.
